Is SS IPTV really free with Mundovea?

Yes, no licence and no paid MAC. Yes. Its team states that it accepts no payment from users and there is no activation step. You only pay your Mundovea subscription.

How do I get the import code?

Open Content → Add external playlist on the TV. In SS IPTV on the TV, Settings → Content → Add external playlist shows a code valid 24 hours. Enter it on ss-iptv.com together with your Mundovea URL.

Does SS IPTV work on older Smart TVs?

Yes: LG from the store, Samsung 2012–2019 via USB. That is its strength: LG TVs from the LG Content Store in any country, and Samsung 2012–2019 models (Orsay and Tizen) via USB, sets that IBO or SmartOne no longer accept.

What are SS IPTV’s limits for daily use?

Old interface, basic EPG, no recording. No advanced catch-up, no recording and little customisation; the interface is dated and updates are slow. For daily Mundovea viewing on LG prefer IBO Player or SmartOne IPTV.

How it works

SS IPTV is the only Smart TV app in this list that is completely free: its team states in the FAQ that it “does not accept any payment from users” and that there is no activation process. With Mundovea you generate a temporary code on the TV and upload your M3U list on ss-iptv.com; it also accepts external lists by link and has a programme guide with a scheduler.

Supported devices

LG TVs from the LG Content Store (LG Smart World) in any country. On Samsung the app is not in the Smart Hub store: it can only be installed via USB on 2012 to 2019 models (Orsay and Tizen), according to the official documentation. Philips and Sony (non-Android) have beta versions through the TV browser. There is no version for Android, iPhone or Windows: the “SS IPTV” apps on the App Store are unrelated third-party products.

Price

Free, with no licence. In exchange the interface is dated and development is slow; the app may also list partner providers in some regions, which has nothing to do with your Mundovea subscription.

What you need from Mundovea

SS IPTV never asks for a username and password on the TV. The app shows a MAC address (and, depending on the app, a device key); with it you use the 24-hour code generated by the app instead of the MAC: enter it on ss-iptv.com together with your M3U link, and the list appears after restarting the app. We send you the M3U link when your subscription is activated. If you don’t have one yet, start with the free trial or see the pricing; our support can upload the list for you.

Our recommendation

Perfect for a secondary TV, an older LG or to try Mundovea without paying for any app licence. As the main player on LG we prefer IBO Player (see the LG webOS install guide) or SmartOne IPTV.

Install SS IPTV from the LG Content Store

On an LG TV, search for SS IPTV in the LG Content Store and install it; it is free. On Samsung the app is not in Smart Hub: only 2012–2019 models can install it via USB, following the publisher's documentation.
