How it works
GSE Smart IPTV was the reference cross-platform player for years, which is why it still appears in so many guides. Before installing it with Mundovea you should know its real situation in October 2026: the original app by GSE Technology (publisher “droidvision”) is only maintained on the App Store for Apple TV (GSE SMART IPTV PRO, $4.99) and for Mac (paid Pro and free Lite), with last updates in 2022 and 2023. The iPhone version has vanished from the store and the Android version is no longer on Google Play.
Mind the name
There is another app called “GSE Smart IPTV Player Live TV”, by a different publisher, promoted on gse-iptv.com and sold as a monthly subscription on iPhone. It is not the original GSE Technology product and is unrelated to it. Our links point to the original publisher.
What still works
On Apple TV and Mac the app still supports local or remote M3U lists, the Xtream Codes login and XMLTV EPG guides, with a built-in web tool to upload lists. The publisher is clear that the app “does not supply or include any media or content”, so you need your Mundovea subscription.
What you need from Mundovea
GSE Smart IPTV is only the player; the channels come from your subscription. When you order Mundovea you receive a username, a password and a server URL (Xtream Codes format) and, if you prefer, an M3U link. You enter them once in the app. Not a customer yet? Our recommendation
For a new install we advise actively maintained apps: IPTVX or Smarters Player Lite on Apple, TiviMate or XCIPTV on Android TV. We keep this page for customers already using GSE on Apple TV or Mac.
